Morning Worship and Prayer
Weâre willing to wake up early for so many other things like getting in line for something we want, our jobs, to cook or do extra chores, and a host of other things. However, most of us, when we plan to wake up to spend time in worship and prayer, keep sleeping and put it off until later, and unfortunately later comes and goes without us stopping to spend time with God in worship and prayer. The thing is, you have to decide at night before you go to bed that you will spend time with God each morning and you have wake up determined to do it.
The truth is that when we wake up, or should I say before we wake up there are already thoughts bombarding our minds about all sorts of things – what didnât get done yesterday, and what has to be done today. To combat this, speak to God as soon as you awake, before your thoughts start speaking to you. This way before your to-do-list takes over your mind with new worries, you’re directing your thoughts toward Godâs new mercies. After practicing this for a while you will learn to surrender your to-do-list, worship God and listen for His instructions each day.
 Sing unto the Lord
Whether or not you wake up early to spend quite time with God you can turn on praise and worship music when you when you get up, or even when you get in your car and sing unto the Lord.  This is an awesome way to spend time with the Lord because worship music, like any other music affects your atmosphere and causes you to join in with what you hear. Even if you have other things to do while on your way to your destination, you can take out some of that time, 15 minutes if you have it ( maybe thatâs your complete ride to work) and sing unto the Lord.
Walk and Talk
I love to walk outdoors. It doesnât matter if itâs on a busy traffic-filled street, my quiet neighborhood, mountain trails, or a beautiful beach. Walking is what I do as a form of exercise because I enjoy it and itâs easy. When we walk we do several things for our overall health â we clear our minds and release negative emotions and we work our cardiovascular system â burning calories and increasing energy, endurance, and strength.  Walking gives us clarity to hear from God and to talk to God. This is especially helpful after a long day.
I take my cell phone with a Bible app so I can read and meditate Scriptures, this helps me get focused. It leaves me feeling great â revived and refreshed. Then when I talk to God I’m able to speak faith-filled words.
If you start with 15 minutes walking and talk with the Lord you will be amazed at your prayers and the wisdom He will release to you. Also, you will find that after youâve practiced walking and talking with the Lord, your before you know it walking time will increase.
Wait in Silence
There is a language of silence. Isaiah 41:1 says, âKeep silence before Me, O coastlands, and let the people renew their strength! Let them come near, then let them speak; let us come near together for judgment.â This is also known as meditation. Learn to sit still, quiet your thoughts. Â Once you clear your mind focus on Godâs thoughts toward you and His promises to you and allow Him to speak to you.
