Statement of Faith
The Bible
I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, trustworthy and authoritative for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. Scripture is God-breathed and equips believers to know God, understand His will, and live according to His truth.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105
God
I believe in one eternal God who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is Creator of heaven and earth, sovereign over all things, holy, loving, faithful, and unchanging.
Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ
I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again.
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus conquered sin and death and made reconciliation with God possible for all who believe.
John 1:1–14; Matthew 1:18–23; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11
Salvation
I believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot earn salvation through our own works. Through repentance and faith in Christ, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, made new, and given eternal life.
John 3:16; Romans 3:23–24; Romans 10:9–10; Ephesians 2:8–9; 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Holy Spirit
I believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively at work in the lives of believers today. He indwells those who belong to Christ, reveals truth, convicts of sin, comforts, teaches, guides, empowers, and transforms us into Christ’s likeness.
I believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts according to His will for the building up of the body of Christ and empowers believers to live as witnesses for Jesus.
John 14:16–17, 26; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:14; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Galatians 5:22–25
Prayer
I believe prayer is essential to our relationship with God. Through prayer, we draw near to Him, seek His will, intercede for others, receive wisdom and direction, and align our hearts with His purposes.
I believe God hears and answers prayer according to His wisdom, His will, and His Word.
Matthew 6:6–13; Philippians 4:6–7; 1 John 5:14–15; James 5:16
The Church
I believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus. Every believer has been called to follow Christ, grow in spiritual maturity, love and serve others, use the gifts God has given them, and participate in His work in the world.
Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16
Our Life in Christ
I believe followers of Jesus are called to live lives that reflect Him. Through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s Word, we are continually being renewed in our character, thinking, relationships, and conduct.
Our lives should demonstrate love for God and others, obedience to Scripture, holiness, humility, integrity, compassion, forgiveness, and the fruit of the Spirit.
Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–25; Ephesians 4:20–24; 1 Peter 1:15–16
God’s Purpose and Calling
I believe every believer is created in Christ for good works that God has prepared for us. Our calling begins with an invitation to have a relationship with God through faith in Christ and to become more like Him; from that relationship, we are invited to participate in His purposes.
As we walk with God, He leads us by His Word and Spirit and equips us to faithfully steward what He has entrusted to us in every season.
Ephesians 2:10; Romans 8:28–29; Philippians 2:13; Colossians 1:9–10
The Return of Christ and Eternity
I believe Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and every person will stand before God. Those who belong to Christ will dwell eternally with Him, and God will ultimately make all things new.
This eternal hope calls us to live faithfully, expectantly, and purposefully as we await His return.
John 14:1–3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–5
At the Center of It All
I believe the Christian life is first and foremost about knowing God and walking with Him.
My desire is to remain faithful to His Word, sensitive to His Spirit, centered on Jesus Christ, and committed to helping women know Him, recognize His hand in their lives, be transformed by His Word, and follow Him through every season.
