The Word that I chose to describe last week, the final week and the summing up of the first online Busy to Balanced Challenge is PEACE.
Taken from 1 Corinthians 7:15, “God has called us to peace.”
The word “peace” used in that verse means, “prosperity – oneness, quietness, rest, to be set at one again.” This means that the fragmentation of the soul is called back into divine order and the spirit, soul, and body are working together undividedly toward God’s purposes.
No matter what’s going on around us God has called us to live in a state of internal peace that shows up in our external experiences.
My goal in offering the challenge was to help you reevaluate how you were spending your time and energy and then redefine your priorities by renewing your focus and commitment to your goals and rearranging your schedule in order to bring order to your life in any areas that were out of order, so that you can have time for an intimate relationship with God and the other things God says are important each and everyday. Why? Because this is God’s plan. He desires that we abide in Him and bear much fruit that remains.
In doing my own Challenge I was challenged.
The whole process has been a time of discovery and realization for me. In my book Surrendered Balance I share how I first went through this process and how it changed my life. However, in my sharing my story and helping others I saw through this challenge that I allowed myself to get out of balance again.
It took going through the process of being honest about where I was at and what I needed to do to get back on the road to where I want to be, identifying and dealing with my distractions, and being willing to cut out the busyness in order to get back to business to get back into a state of internal peace, not just an acceptance of issues.
I’m happy that I actually did the challenge and was able to reset my life and get on course again, so that I’m not just doing good things but doing what God called me to do first.
Beloved, I hope you have discovered the times waster in your life and removed the distractions so that you can live purposefully and intentionally the life that God created you for.
P.S., Next time I plan to actually do a live call with the challenge to make it more interactive.
