A personal mission is a statement should be made up of God’s thoughts toward you and His plans for you.
It isn’t just about figuring out the work you are called to do with gifts, talents, and abilities you been given. It’s about freely and fearlessly being able to come in agreement with what God says about you and articulate who He called you to be without apology, shame or pride knowing you are your Father’s daughters and have you an inheritance in His Family and a part in His kingdom.
Developing a personal mission statement will help you become the women God called you to be. Here are five ways:
- Developing a personal mission statement will help you see yourself as God sees you.
It will force you to be honest about how you see yourself, well-able and capable to be, do, have what He promised you or like a grasshopper – small in your own eyes and unworthy of having what he promised you. (See Jeremiah 29:11)
- A personal mission statement acts as a filter for opportunities that are offered to you.
Even if it’s a good thing if it’s not a God-thing your mission statement based on what you believe God has called you to will help you know when to say yes and when to say no. (See Luke 10:38-42)
- A personal mission statement will help you stay grounded in God’s will.
When you know what God called you to do you and you know you’re in His will even in hard times you can continue to stand on His promises because you know the God who called you is backing you and He will see you through. (See Hebrews 10:7)
- A personal mission statement will fuel your purpose with passion.
When you a clear about who you are and what you’re called to do you become passionate about your purpose. When you know what you’re called to do and you’re sure about your identity it gives you purpose. When you align with God in your prayers and articulate it to yourself and others you become passionate about your purpose. (See Acts 1:3)
- A personal mission statement becomes a guide for your prayers.
A personal mission statement will align your thinking with God’s thoughts toward you and help you pray faith-filled targeted prayers instead of focusing your prayers on your pleasures only. (See James 4:3)
I’m super excited for the workshop I’ll be doing on March 31st to help women develop their personal mission statements.
Beloved, if developing your personal mission statement is something you would like to do that you think will be helpful for you, and you haven’t purchased your ticket using this link. We only have 10 spots and six are already taken.
