You can stay fresh-faced while you’re in the fire if you remain in faith, keep yourself filled with God’s peace and rest knowing He is working things out.
Fiery trials will come to us all, however, not everyone goes through them the same way. Some people allow their trials to become burdens that burn and cripple them but those who choose to put their trust in the Lord will not be burned, they will come out with a glow.
Walking Through the Fire
Isaiah 43:3 and 5 says, “When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you blaze. For I am the Lord your God…Do not be afraid, for I am with you.”
You can know the Lord’s Presence while in the fire and learn not to fear by trusting His Word and doing what it says.
Here are three things you can do while going through any trial that will help your stay fresh-faced while you’re in the fire.
1. Learn to stop looking at things in the natural, instead seek out Heaven’s perspective – this is faith. “We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal,” 2 Corinthians 4:18. So many times we believers become so engaged in our trials that we forget that all earthly situations are temporary – subject to change. If you want to stay fresh-faced while you’re in the fire the second thing you must do is learn to focus on eternal things – God’s Words of promise for your particular situation. These will not and cannot every change.
2. Learn to use the power of praise and thanksgiving. These bring peace. The Bible says God enthrones the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). When you praise the Lord in the midst of the fiery trials of life He will sit in His power over your circumstances and the peace of God will rule in your heart and bring you the victory. (Colossians 3:15)
3. Learn to Count it all Joy. When you can count your trials all joy, you have entered the rest of God. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience,” James 1:2,3. Learn to look past your fiery trials to what each one is meant to produce in you. Then and only then in you, when you realize that the good far outweighs the bad will be able rejoice in your trials. This will help you stay fresh-faced while you’re in the fire.
