Have you ever struggled to obey God and do what you know you must do because He told you to? If you answered yes, you’re in good company, not just with me but with countless others.
Sometimes it’s easy to obey God but other times it hard, really hard but it can be done. Jesus is our example of laying down our will for the will of the Father.
Although He was a son, he learned obedience through what He suffered. Hebrews 5:8
In this episode, I’m sharing from the life of Jesus how we learn to obey God.
We may have to suffer but it can be done!
The same grace that grants us forgiveness of sins also enables us to overcome sin and disobedience and to lay down our wills for the will of the Father.
Jesus did four things when obeying God got hard
- He offered up prayers
- He pleaded with God to see if there was another way.
- He kept His heart right with God in devotion to Him.
- Him submitted to God in spite of what it cost Him.
