Being a mother is a calling that carries with it the commitment to love as Jesus does, accept without pretense, and choose beauty over bitterness even when things look ugly.
In this episode, I’m sharing the beauty and blessings of the different seasons of motherhood as well as how to get through the tough seasons of surprise, suffering, and sacrifice.
I’m also sharing a bit about the season I’m still in – my oldest son being diagnosed with mental health issues in his second year of college and how that changed our story.
Through the journey of motherhood, our children, if we let them, can teach what it means to love like God does, as much as is humanly possible. They can teach us what it means to accept others without pretense and what it means to continually extend grace and forgiveness for no other reason than the love we have for them, as God does for us. They can teach us how to find the beauty and the blessing in every season of life.
I pray you are strengthened and encouraged in your journey and calling as a mother through the Biblical insight from God’s word and my story of motherhood.
Your story may be different from mine, but I’m sure as always, you find that we are more alike than we are different when we stand on the sacred ground of God’s unifying grace. As mothers, we have all been appointed to the same calling and commitment by the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
