This is a message I shared on Sisters in Prayer prayer line about the importance of not only the necessity to pray but to watch with a discerning spiritual awareness when you go through a season of transition.
Anytime we’re going through a season of transition and passing through one of life’s intersection there will be more than one way we can, and with so many choices we can be tempted not to do things God’s way. The enemy comes to deceive us, worldly pursuits come to distract us and our fleshly desires come to entice us with things that look good but are not God.
This is why Jesus said to watch and pray, (Mark 14:38).
We are called, first of all to a relationship with God and a life of prayer, then to do the works He planned for us. When we get these things out-of-order we become a target for the enemy who roams around seeking whom he may devour.
Beloved, I hope this message admonishes you and encourages you to be on your guard in prayer especially if you are going through a season of transition.
