My guest for episode #5 is Trista Laborn a military wife, a mom, an entrepreneur, and a blogger at A Purpose Driven Wife.
Trista and I had a heartfelt chat about what it’s like to become Christians later in life.
Neither of us grew up in a Christ-centered home, and both of us gave our lives to the Lord as married adults with children. Shifting from a worldly mindset to a godly, Biblical mindset changed the way we live our lives and care for our families. And, God in His faithfulness is working in our lives to fulfill His plan.
Her experiences with Jesus is of him grouped in with all the other gods and my experience was one based religion and not a personal relationship. We both had to shift from a worldly mindset to a godly, Biblical mindset and re-establish the way we live our lives and care for our families.
During our chat, we discussed what it means to be a purpose driven wife and mom, and how knowing your “why” is the key to not being distracted by other things.
Trista shared how she learned to do what’s best for her and her family in each season without comparing herself to other women so she can live a life without regrets. She shared how to find an outlet for your creativity as a woman, apart from her important roles as a wife and mom through finding community and investing time in yourself.
Even if you’re not a stay-at-home mom and a military wife or you’ve known God all your life I’m confident you will find that you have many things in common with Trista. You will see a little bit of yourself in her story of coming to know her purpose and learning to be a good steward of her life and satisfied in her season.
