My guest for episode #6 is Terrie Bearden, founder Project Penny Leaving a Legacy of Trust.
Terrie started the Penny Project in 2004 after hearing a story about a man who was reminded to trust in God every time he saw a penny lying around. It was the beginning of a walk of faith and a true adventure that she wants to share with younger women. “In God We Trust†is now her anthem! Her longtime prayer partner Pam encouraged her to write her journey of trusting God, so she is also creating the “penny journal!â€
Terrie and I chatted about building a legacy through prayer and trusting in God even when it gets heard and you want to give up.
Terrie shared how she created fun and unique family traditions for Christmas! She shared tips to help you create your own family traditions to bring your family closer together and make Christmas and as well as other holidays special.
Even if you’re in a season of transition – missing a loved one, or feeling the pain or loss of a break-up, you can create new traditions and make new memories with the people God has given you in this season.
Studying and teaching God’s Word is her passion!
Terrie’s desire is to bring good news, sprinkled with laughter and love, and to encourage women to take their broken hearts and put them in God’s capable hands for safe-keeping. She knows first-hand that as we do this, we allow Him to heal, restore, and renew us.She has experienced a lifetime of answered prayer, with experiences of redemption and reconciliation. Her story is one of hope that is so desperately needed today. Terrie was born and raised in San Diego, California, she married her husband in 1978. They have two children and five grandchildren. Terrie’s been at her church for over 30 years and was also the school administrator for the Christian school run by her church at one time.
