We have entered a Kairos moment.
- Kairos means an appointed time, an opportune moment, or a due season.
- Chronos refers to minutes and seconds. It refers to time as a measurable resource.
I like the way this article on The High Calling blog from May 2009 explains the difference between the two:Â
Yesterday morning in my prayer time before going to church I sensed the Lord saying there is a Kairos moment upon us, an opportune time that heaven has opened up, a window of a short season to hear the Lord issue decrees and instructions that will get us into the next season.
At first, I thought it was a word just for me when he began to show me things.
The Lord showed me how I had missed certain moments in time when the Spirit was nudging me to do or decree certain things that I either was unwilling to do or wasnât paying close enough attention to understand the importance until the moment passed and I saw what I missed out on.
He also showed me the children of Israel, when Jesus came to them and warned them that they were about to miss out on the season of ingathering for Israel (Luke 13:34).
But then when I got to church, unbeknownst to me (as always) the Lord had me prophesy and began to show me even more so and clarify what He meant.
When I got home from church I watched the replay Glory of Zionâs morning service and Robert Heidler taught on the same thing. Then this morning I read Small Straws May 16th prophetic devotional by Bill and Marsha Burns and the word was again confirmed.
I shared that because thatâs the reason I decided to post this prophetic word.
This is not a time to be distracted by the cares of the world. Take some time each day to spend with the Lord. Give time to His presence in worship and unhindered devotion. Set your heart toward Him and prepare your ears to hear.
Psalm 32:8 says, âI will instruction you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.â The Lord wants to instruct you so you can make it into your next season victoriously. Beloved, He has His eyes upon you to counsel you. Now itâs time for you to put your eyes on Him.
