Prophetically speaking, we entered into the Biblical new year back at the beginning on October.
The year we are now in is 5777 – the year of the sword which means we will have to fight.
The last number of the year has the greatest prophetic significance. That number is 7, Zayin in Hebrew.
It is also the seventh letter of the Hebrew aleph-bet. Every Hebrew letter also has numeric and prophetic or pictorial value.
The number Zayin is a picture of sword or weapon.
It is a crowned Vav. Vav is the Hebrew number 6 which represents man. God has crowned us and made us a little lower the angels and given us dominion over the works of His hands. (Psalms 8 and Hebrews 2:5-7)
Prophetic Word 2017: You Have to Know What’s Worth Fighting For!
God is calling us all to use it to fight the good fight of faith.
We have an enemy who rules in the lower heavenly places. But we sit above him in Christ Jesus. However, because we are still on earth we have to use our authority to take dominion from our defeated foe. If not, he will rule in our lives even though he was defeated when Jesus died and rose!
We are in Christ so we have everything we need to win the battles we face.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God. We have a whole list of armor but our weapons are our shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.
(Ephesians 1:19-23, 2:4-7 and 6:10-20)
I wasn’t a fighter. However, in this season there are eternal spoils at stake.
By nature, I’m passive and let a lot of things slide. Unfortunately, this passivity trickled over into my spiritual life as well. I knew how to pray for others but when something happened to me I always took on the victim role, questioning, praying for relief and that God would fix it.
The enemy took advantage of my passive nature and wreaked havoc in my life. I always felt like I was fighting but not winning the battle that was obviously being waged against my entire life!
When the Lord showed me what this year means I asked Him to teach me how to fight. You may need to do the same thing!
Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. (Psalm 144:1-2)
Beloved, God’s given us the right as He’s daughters to pray with the authority given to us in Christ Jesus so the enemy can’t come in and wreaked havoc in our lives. We have the NAME and the BLOOD of JESUS!
