God calls us all to do “something” for Him. But He doesn’t expect us to get the job done by might or power, but by His Spirit of grace. Grace is His divine influence upon our hearts and our lives to equips to walk in His will with divine power and authority.
His Spirit is what enables us and empower us to do whatever He has called us to.
The Bible says “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:33
Video Devotional – Walking in Great Grace
The Word grace “charis” in Greek means: “spiritual graciousness; especially the divine influence upon the heart,” among other wonderful things.
The word for great is “megas” in Greek and means: “big, the fear of, exceedingly, greatest, high, large, loud, mighty, strong.”
The Lord gave the apostles mighty, large, strong spiritual graciousness and His divine influence upon their hearts to do to lead them in doing His work.
Hallelujah! I thank God this great grace is not just for the apostles.
Beloved, He will do the same for you and me when we are proclaiming the goodness of the Gospel.
