In addition to our callings as His daughters, being godly women, wives, and/or mothers God can and does call women to specific roles in His kingdom plan.
In this episode of Holy Calling, I’m sharing my testimony.
When God called me years ago I was afraid to share what He spoke to me or to call myself what God called me. I had to by faith, change my conversation and begin to say what He said about me, privately. I also had to change the way I conducted myself to begin to act like who God says I am.
Only recently did I gain the confidence to step into my calling unapologetically.
Romans 1:1 says, “Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God.”
The word called in this verse means God invited Paul, just as He invites each one of us to be who He gifted us and preordained us to be.
Some churches and denominations don’t believe women can be called to preach but only to teach other women.
I believe a woman needs a covering, whether her husband or her pastor but God does call women to the ministry.
A few examples of godly women God called to minister in a greater capacity are Joyce Meyer, Sheryl Brady, Cythnia Brazelton, Lisa D Haper, and Christine Caine.
These women are properly aligned with a Biblical covering.
He called them in the same way he called Paul. Not as apostles but with definite roles as full-time ministers of the gospel in His kingdom. Their ministries go beyond speaking only to women.
The Spirit of God is continually changing things in the church to make room for His daughters to be who He called them to be. Not for our glory but to fulfill His Kingdom plan.
Beloved, if you feel led to the ministry but are afraid of to step into your calling, please listen to today’s podcast and be encouraged.
